How affiliate links work on The Decor Note, and why our recommendations stay independent.

The short version

Some links on The Decor Note are affiliate links. If you click one and buy the product, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay does not change. We only feature products we have tested and would recommend regardless of commission.

  • Impact — Network including Target, Walmart, Etsy.
  • Awin — Network including international retailers.
  • Direct affiliate relationships with selected brands (disclosed at the article level when applicable).

How we keep recommendations honest

  1. Editorial decisions come first. We pick products based on quality and value, then check if affiliate options exist. If they don’t, we still feature the product with a regular link.
  2. Commission rates don’t influence ranking. A product with a 1% commission can outrank a product with a 12% commission if the lower-commission product is genuinely better.
  3. We’ve recommended against affiliate partners. Several of our “what NOT to buy” articles call out specific products from brands we have affiliate relationships with.
  4. Sponsored content is labeled. The rare paid-partnership article is clearly marked at the top.
